Rizviu00a0Springfield's Armaan Jaffer wants to take a leaf out of his uncle, Wasim Jaffer's book. The India Test opener's habit of scoring big has made a huge impact on Armaan, who has been a consistent performer in inter-school cricket.
Armaan scored an unbeaten 295 against IES Raja Shivaji, Dadar to end the day for the Bandra school on 513-3 yesterday. It is the highest individual score of the season in the Giles Shield U-14 inter-school tournament.
Armaan believes it is his uncle's advice that is making the difference. "Wasim uncle is a big inspiration for me.
He always tells me to play well, play long and stay focussed," he said. Armaan also revealed that he is working hard to play like his uncle. "I am concentrating more on playing with a straight bat, just like him (Jaffer). This will help me get tall scores," said Armaan, who has plundered 543 runs in three matches of the
competition.
