Johanna Konta wants to be a superstar like Taylor Swift

Though British tennis star Konta admits to having a 'horrendous voice', she wants to emulate Taylor

British tennis star Johanna Konta has revealed that outside of the tennis world, she harbours dreams of being a superstar like American singer Taylor Swift.

"I always thought I'd be such an unbelievable performer on stage. Except for the fact that I have an absolutely horrendous singing voice. But I just really like the idea of being on a stage in front of tens of thousands of fans. I want to be a singer, a superstar like Taylor Swift," Konta told Tennis World USA.

When she was asked about her boyfriend, Konta, who has been dating movie producer Jackson Wade since April last year, replied, "The most romantic thing anyone's ever done for me...my boyfriend knows me very well — this won't seem romantic to anyone else, but he got me a bunch of kitchen aid appliances. That made me very happy."

Meanwhile, Konta said that in order to release the stress she faces at times, she bakes. "I have a folder full of recipe pull-outs from Waitrose magazine," she added.
