Jyoti shines for Mary Immaculate

Mary Immaculate’s (Borivali) Jyoti Karkera was the only scorer in the tie-breaker as her school beat Dhirubhai Ambani (Bandra) 1-0 to clinch the Mumbai Schools Sports Association’s girls U-16 inter-school title at Azad Maidan yesterday.

After the match ended 0-0 at the end of regulation time, in the resultant shoot-out Dhirubhai’s Nikhita Kapur, Nurain Dhorajiwala, Natasha Parekh, Nimrah Khanyari and Aashi Doshi all failed to convert from the spot, while Mary Immaculate’s Kimberly D’Souza, Preetika Mudliar and Danica Rozario missed out too.
