Indian shuttler Anand Pawar moved into the men's singles second round at the China Masters Super Series at the Olympic Sports Center Xincheng Gymnasium here.
The World No 39 escaped an extremely tough first round encounter against top seed and World No 2 Chen Long of China, who gave a walkover.

In the next round, Pawar will face Japan’s Sho Sasaki against whom he has a poor 0-2 record.
Sasaki conquered China’s Song Xue 21-16, 19-21, 21-14 in their first round encounter yesterday.
Meanwhile, Mumbai lad Ajay Jayaram will be seen in action today against Chen Yuekun of China.
