Julius Pillai, Gavin Monis and Abhishek Chettir netted in the first three goals for the Andheri outfit. From thereon, it was Kyle all the way. The forward scored the next five . Pruthvi Raj Chavan added his name on the scorer's list scoring the ninth goal, while the 10th was an own goal.
When asked about his stellar performance, Kyle was happy that his side's performance would shut up critics. "Today's match was really good. It was fun to score five goals. The other students in our school would tell us not to go for tournaments as we had performed badly in the last couple of years. But today's performance will shut everyone up," Kyle told mid-day yesterday.
Coach of St John, Denis Coutinho was a happy man and was generous when it came to praising Kyle. "He is a player who can glide past people. He can beat people with ease but he needs to bulk up," Coutinho said.
