At six-feet-two-inches Kavan was the standout performer for the Fort outfit. He got his team’s second and fourth goals.
Teammate Daryush Kapadia opened the scoring in the fourth minute before Kavan doubled the lead from close range.
Mishal Mehta then made it 3-0 as Cathedral went into half-time with a comfortable lead.
Kavan though wasn’t done yet and returned after the break to score his second of the match, neatly cutting through Colaba Municipal’s defence and lobbing the ball over goalkeeper Rohit Mandalfor 4-0.
Given his height, it comes as no surprise that Kavan also represents his school in
basketball. “But football is my first love,” says the 15-year-old, who was a defender last year.
