The Class III student was elated at reaching the last four stage in the first time that she is representing her school. At the same time she was sad that her twin sister Shanysa, who is younger to her by a minute, lost to second seed Taarini Suri of JB Petit High School (Fort) 12-21, 11-21 in the quarter-finals.

"Though I am happy that I won, I wish Shanysa could win her match too," said Sunaira after her win.
