Even as Delhi Police Commissioner Yudhbir Singh Dadwal is patting the back of his officers for the smooth conduct of the grand opening ceremony on Sunday and an incident-free Games so far, he is also kicking some serious butt.

The Delhi Police have seen record suspensions during the Games, as no act of indifference in duty is being allowed to go unpunished.
On Monday seven policemen deployed on the security duty of the Millennium Park Depot, world's largest bus depot, near the Commonwealth Games village, were suspended for negligence.
Three of the suspended cops are in the rank of sub-inspectors and four are head-constables.
Sources in the Delhi Police told MiD DAY that the suspended personnel did not report on duty and when the matter was brought to the notice of the senior officials, they were immediately suspended.
"Whereas few of them didn't report for duty others just recorded their attendance and went off," the sources said.u00a0
"The bus depot is the base for transport for the commonwealth Games players and delegates and thousands of policemen are deputed there for security. Besides, hundreds of police vehicles are also parked there which ferry as pilot and escort with the Games buses," a senior police officer said.u00a0
Over the past few days, about 50 Delhi policemen have been suspended for negligence on the strict orders of the Commissioner.
Few days back, a coupleu00a0-- both of them head constables -- were suspended after they were found in a compromising position inside the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium.
"We cannot allow our officers to relax even for a second as it is a matter of the prestige of the nation. This justifies the strict stance taken towards negligence in duty," the officer added.
