An official in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) refused to give any details though. According to sources, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister T K A Nair and Cabinet Secretary K M Chandrasekhar were also present. This is the first meeting of Shunglu with the prime minister after his appointment.
Probe
Manmohan Singh had constituted the high-level committee Oct 15 to probe allegations of corruption surrounding the mega sporting event, which was riddled with controversies right from the start.u00a0
The committee has been mandated to fix responsibility of the main actors, political as well as those holding positions in the Organising Committee, whose failure to discharge key roles almost led to the Games being called off.
Deal transparent: DD Public broadcaster Doordarshan and SIS Live, the UK-based company which had the sole broadcasting rights for CWG games with a Rs 246 crore contract, refuted allegations of impropriety saying the deal was transparent. SIS Live told PTI that it has paid all taxes due in accordance with the regulations.
