Qualifier Vaidik Munshaw of Gujarat made a surprise entry into the semi-finals, while second seed Kunal Anand of Delhi was taken the distance, in the Khar Gymkhana All India Men's Open Tennis Tournament yesterday.
Munshaw eased past unseeded Krishna Karsolia of Delhi 6-2, 6-4, while Anand was stretched by wild card Pritam Parekh of Maharashtra before winning 6-3, 0-6, 7-5 in an exciting quarter-final. Munshaw set up a semi-final clash with top seed Nitten Kirrtane of Maharashtra, while Anand will face fourth seed Shantanu Rajput of Delhi.
