NBA: Duncan, Parker power Spurs past Lakers

Tim Duncan finished with 25 points and 13 rebounds and Tony Parker chipped in 22 as the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 105-85 on Tuesday.

Lakers star Kobe Bryant scored just 16 points as he is playing with a splint over his broken right index finger.

Bryant's playing time was also limited because of back spasms in the fourth quarter and coach Phil Jackson said Bryant was probable for Wednesday's game against Dallas.

During the last decade the Spurs and Lakers have been the NBA's top teams winning seven titles between them.

The Spurs came out quickly in Tuesday's game before the Lakers went on a run and pulled within six points before San Antonio kicked it up a notch and finished in a rout.

Bryant took a season-low 10 shots from the field, hitting seven.

Andrew Bynum scored 23 points and Ron Artest added 13 for Los Angeles, who have now lost three of four.

Duncan shot 12 of 19 from the field while Parker went 10 of 18. Parker scored nine points in the final quarter.

Richard Jefferson finished with 12 points and George Hill had 13.
