Dallas' game four win has injected new life into their championship pursuit and much of the credit goes to a flu-ridden Dirk Nowitzki who is enjoying the best NBA finals of his career.
Dirk Nowitzki
Nowitzki, who turns 33 this month, played through the discomfort of a sinus infection and fever to finish with a team-high 21 points in a 86-83 win over Miami on Tuesday.
Flu or no flu, Nowitzki has been unstoppable for the Mavericks when the Heat choose to guard him one-on-one late in games. On Tuesday, he spun past Heat defender Udonis Haslem for an easy layup to give the Mavericks a three-point cushion, 84-81, with just 15 second remaining in the fourth.
