Navnit Motors, Simmond Marshall win Take Solutions Golf Challenge

Eighty corporate member teams competed in The TAKE Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge ufffd India, Western Zone qualifier, played at Aamby Valley, Lonavala, vying for the four spots at stake in the National final to be held on April 4 and 5 at Bangkok.

Sharad Kachalia and Mayur Kamdar, representing Navnit Motors, took top honours on Day One with 75 points, narrowly edging out by one point Nohar Nath and Puneet Matta, representing the Credit Suisse team (75).

The Day Two winners Navroze Marshall and Riaz Batliwala, representing Simmond Marshall, finished with 68 points, ahead of second placed Hindustan Lever, represented by Rudratej Singh and Subhash Naidu.

The top two teams from Day One and Two will be joined by four other teams from various regional qualifiers yet to be held in Bangalore and Delhi.

The TAKE Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge is the official India qualifying tournament for the World C'ship of Corporate Golf, now in its 15th year, which bring together corporate teams from 30 different countries who win their national qualifying tournaments.

The 15th edition of the event in India grows bigger and grander with the National final being held at Bangkok, Thailand. Thailand Tourism, Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau and Lebua Hotels and Resorts have jointly come together to host the National Final of the event at Thailand. In 2008, the Indian Team from Credit Suisse became the first and only team to emerge victorious at the World Finals at La Manga Club in Spain, putting India on the Corporate golf map.
