New dad Rooney has not yet changed nappies

New dad Wayne Rooney is yet to experience the joy of changing a nappy.

As any father would attest, the task is one of the most cumbersome involved with becoming a parent, with regular "mishaps" in the early days when the correct technique has not been established. But the experience is one Rooney has managed to sidestep so far, even though wife Coleen gave birth to Kai Wayne on November 2.

"To be fair, I have learnt to do it but she (Coleen) has been there and done it," he added.

Indeed, there has been very little change for Rooney so far.

The England striker asked club boss Alex Ferguson to play him in the Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow at Old Trafford last Tuesday, 24 hours after the joyous day. And this week he has come away with England for their prestigious friendly against Brazil in Qatar.

And, even if Rooney scores, there will be none of the "baby-cradling" celebrations Brazil made famous at the 1994 World Cup. "No. It looked a bit cheesy to me," he said.

Man City lose
Manchester United's city rivalsu00a0 Manchester City saw their second string side go down 0-1 in a friendly against UAE in Abu Dhabi last night. An 8th minute penalty led to City's downfall.
