Our Lady of Perpetual Succour (OLPS), Chembur, stayed away from the mediamen, after winning 2-1 against Campion School 'A' (Cooperage) in the Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) U-16 inter-school football match at Azad Maidan. OLPS, which has won four of their five matches and are without a coach, refused to talk to the media after the victory, "We have strict orders from our school administration not to talk to media due to some past incidents," said School Physical Trainer Thatikonda Ramdas.
"It is very exiting to see the names printed in the newspaper for your good performance, but unfortunately we can't say anything on the match and go against our school," said one of the scorers. "It is a very harsh decision from the school management. The students deserve all the praise as they have done a good job without a coach at helm," said one of the disappointed parents. MSSA secretary Xavier Faria said: "We are not aware about it."
OLPS principal was not available for comment. Sooraj Holla and Aditya Raghavan were the goal scorer for OLPS while Porus Shroff scored for Campion 'A'.
