Paes-Vesnina enter quarter-finals

Leander Paes and Elena Vesnina reached the Wimbledon mixed doubles quarter-finals with a straight-set victory over Australia's Ashley Fisher and Germany's Mona Barthel yesterday

The fourth seeded Indo-Russian pair comfortably defeated their unseeded opponents 6-3,6-3.u00a0

Their dominance was evident by the fact they won 70 points compared to their opponent’s 46 points.

Paes and Vesnina, who started playing together only last year, will face Belarusians Max Mirnyi and Victoria Azarenka next.
