Pawar, Chandorkar win carrom titles

Former state champion Pankaj Pawar, former  state and national champion Sangeeta Chandorkar and former national champion Suresh Kajrolkar won the men’s, women’s and veterans’ singles titles respectively at the Bank Of Maharashtra, LIC and ONGC-sponsored 25th Senior Mumbai District carrom championship held at the Maharashtra state Bharat Scouts & Guides Pavillion in Dadar recently

Former state champion Pankaj Pawar, former  state and national champion Sangeeta Chandorkar and former national champion Suresh Kajrolkar won the men’s, women’s and veterans’ singles titles respectively at the Bank Of Maharashtra, LIC and ONGC-sponsored 25th Senior Mumbai District carrom championship held at the Maharashtra state Bharat Scouts & Guides Pavillion in Dadar recently. The tournament marked the silver jubilee year celebration of the Mumbai District Carrom Association.

In the men’s final, Pawar beat Sandeep Deorukhkar 25-10, 16-25, 25-10, while Sangeeta  emerged women’s champion beating Nilam Ghodke 25-20, 25-17.

In the veterans’ final, Kajrolkar beat Sudhakar Shirke 25-14, 25-10.
