The 10th-seeded Sai Praneeth, who had reached the semifinals of US Open Grand Prix Gold, thrashed Scotland's Alistair Casey 21-11 21-17 to set up a meeting with Czech Republic's Jan Frohlich at the Markin MacPhail Centre.
Ajay Jayaram, seeded ninth, defeated Chinese Taipei's Shih Kuei Chun 21-10 21-19. He will take on China's Huang Yuxiang next.
Mumbai-born Anand Pawar prevailed over USA's Nicholas Waller 21-9 21-10 to set up a clash with China's Zhu Siyuan.
However, it was curtains for RMV Gurusaidutt in the men's singles competition as he suffered a 9-21 14-21 loss to Shi Yuqi of China in a match that lasted 34-minutes.
