City team U Mumba overwhelms Jaipur Pink Panthers to win Pro Kabaddi League opener
U Mumba trounced Jaipur Pink Panthers 45-31 to win the opening match of the Pro Kabaddi League held at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium in National Sports Club Of India (NSCI), Worli on Saturday.

The Mumbai team had a slow start, but they gradually took control of the game thanks to captain Anup Kumar's initiative.
With its aggressive raiding, commanding defence and work ethics, Mumbai ensured a 25-12 lead at the halfway stage.

Jaipur lose tamely
In the second half, Jaipur showed a little more aggression in the raids, but it wasn't enough as they lost to the hosts tamely.
Kumar with eight successful raids out of his 15 attempts earned 14 points for his team to win the Best Raider of the match award.

The Best Defender award went to Mumbai's Surender Nada. "It was a fantastic experience playing with the disco lights and crowd cheering for us," said Kumar.
Meanwhile in the second game of the day, Bengaluru Bulls beat Dabang Delhi 47-28.
