Andy Roddick won his first title in over a year when he defeated defending champion Andreas Seppi 6-3, 6-2 on Saturday to win the Eastbourne grasscourt title, a perfectly-timed boost ahead of Wimbledon.
Roddick has been troubled by injury and illness for several seasons but may have turned a corner with his 72-minute win over the Italian. Meanwhile, Tamira Paszek rallied from a set and a break down to overhaul Angelique Kerber 5-7, 6-3, 7-5 on Saturday in the Eastbourne final. David Ferrer secured his fourth title of 2012 with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Germany’s Philipp Petzschner at the ‘s-Hertogenbosch tournament.u00a0
