The two time Champion of the US Intercollegiate Tennis Association Summer Championships, Sanam got the better of his Australian opponent 6-2, 1-6, 7-5 in the third and final qualifying round of the $50,000 event.
Before beating Kaden, the Indian had shocked third seed Ricardas Berankis of Lithuania in the first round.
Sanam will take on sixth seed Grega Zemlja of Slovakia in the first round of the main draw, which also has Indi's numero uno singles player Somdev Devvarman.
