This was the third goal of the tournament for the 13-year-old. And Sanya said she had saved her best for the last.

“I’m really glad to have started the season with a title. After a goalless first half, we didn’t want to let the match go into tie-breaker as in the shootout, anybody could have won. Everybody was relieved once I scored in the second half.u00a0

“But the task was not to let our opponents come close to scoring. We managed to do that in the end.

“Now, I hope that we win the Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) title too,” said Sanya.u00a0
