According to a report in Daily Mail yesterday, Schumacher’s wife Corinna has put their private jet Falcon 2000EX, which has Schumi’s initials on the tailplane, for sale at £12million (approximately Rs 122 crore). This is a clear indication that Schumacher will never be a globetotter he once was.
Schumacher suffered head injuries after colliding with rocks while skiing in the French Alps last December. He is currently rehabilitating at a Switzerland hospital after coming out of coma.
Germany’s Bild newspaper commented: “The reasons for the sale are obvious: during his active time as a F1 driver, Schumi jetted between 300 and 400 hours annually with the aircraft around the world. Even in his break of three years (2007-2009), he used the jet for many family vacations. But now everything is different. The world of the Schumachers has changed.”
