Al-Barkaat Mmi English School skipper Shoeb Khan's 121 put his team in the driver's seat on Day One of the three-day Mumbai Schools Sports Association-Mumbai Indians Giles Shield Elite Division semi-final against Rizvi Springfield at Azad Maidan yesterday.
Opting to bat, Al-Barkaat ended the day at 314-9 in 85 overs. Shoeb’s knock was laced with 17 boundaries and two sixes before he was caught and bowled by off-spinner Danish Shaikh.
Shoeb was ably supported by Pushkar Vashisth (62). u00a0“The pressure of playing against Rizvi was there, but once I crossed the 100-run mark I wanted to stay at the crease a bit more. I am glad that the team went past the 300-run mark and hope to enter the final,” said the 13-year-old.u00a0
