India's Somdev Devvarman and Sania Mirza blazed into third round of the Miami Masters yesterday.
Somdev, India's top seeded singles player, beat Montenegro-born World No 34 Milos Raonic of Canada in straight sets 7-6, 7-5. A day earlier Devvarman had got the better of Italian Potito Starace in straight sets
6-2, 6-4 in a match that lasted for around 70 minutes.
Devvarman, who is ranked 73 in the world, is here on the back of a five-match winning streak (including the qualifiers) at Indian Wells before he was defeated by none other than World No 1 Rafael Nadal of Spain in the pre-quarter-final.
