India's Somdev Devvarman was eliminated in the first round of the Wimbledon men's singles qualifiers here yesterday.
The 28-year-old Devvarman, ranked 140 in the world, was upset by Australia World No 212 Matt Reid 6-7(4), 6-4, 16-18.

The Indian’s best performance on the lone grass court major came in 2011 when he reached the second round before losing to Mikhail Youzhny of Russia.
The qualification rounds of The Championships started yesterday while the main draw starts on June 24.
