India No 1 and women's top seed Joshna Chinappa eased into the semi-finals in the 58th Senior National Championship & 67th CCI-Western India Open squash tournament at the Cricket Club of India yesterday.
Chinappa, ranked 36 in the world, overcame Aishwarya Nambiar of Maharashtra 3-0 to remain on course for her 10th National crown and eighth in a row.
Also sailing into the semi-finals were Ankita Sharma and second seed Saumya Karki of Maharashtra.
In contrast, Khatri rallied from 0-2 to stun Harshit Kaur Jawanda of Delhi 7-11, 6-11, 11-9, 11-3, 11-8 in a thrilling quarter-final encounter.
