The 72nd edition of the event held in Jamshedpur (March 2011) witnessed some outstanding performances with Manikanda clocking 21.1s (200 mts) to eclipse the 30-year-old meet record of 21.5s set by Adille Sumariwalla and BP Aiyappa, and MK Beethovan clearing 2.03 mts in the High Jump to eclipse BK Singh's 1990 mark.
