Malaysian World No 1 Lee Chong Wei not only gave Mumbai Masters a perfect start with his win over Daren Liew in the opening singles match yesterday, but also returned to team up with Tine Baun and win the mixed doubles to make it 4-1 for the hosts at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium.
However, credit for Mumbai’s win must go to Baun and German Mark Zwiebler, who won their respective singles matches to give Mumbai a 3-1 lead and take them atop the IBL points table.
