Ankita Sharma wasn't feeling all that well on Saturday. But that had nothing to do with the fact that the final of the 2nd Brave Heart Ashok Kamte Squash Classic was tied at two games each.
It had more to do with the snack she had before the final, which she was supposed to win easily, began.
The 16-year-old had missed lunch as she was appearing for her Organisation of Commerce paper in the morning and the snack just before the game made her feel uneasy.
After the fourth
game, Ankita vomited and after that, the final game was a cakewalk, as she beat Deepali Parekh 7-11, 11-0, 11-9, 9-11, 11-8
"After the fourth game, I felt sick so I rushed to the bathroom and puked. After that, I felt much better and lighter and could win the final game easily," Ankita said.
Considering that Ankita was the favourite to win the final, the Narsee Monjee College student was thinking more about her exam having missed a unit test earlier when she was playing tournaments in England, Scotland Egypt, Singapore and Malaysia among other countries.
