The 28-year-old took just under three hours to triumph and then extolled the virtues of marriage and fatherhood on Sunday what became a day of double joy. With wife Jelena watching, Djokovic equalled the Wimbledon tally of his coach Boris Becker and hauled himself to a ninth Grand Slam title and third Wimbledon title, despite a rain delay and losing a magnificent second-set tiebreak.

"Ever since I got married and became a father, I haven't lost many matches and have won many tournaments. I suggest to every player, get married and have kids and enjoy this." Djokovic was qouted as saying by dailmail.co.uk on sunday.
"Whether I'm winning or losing, the family's always there. When I go back home I'm not a tennis player any more; I'm a father to Stefan and a husband to Jelena. "That's a balance that allows me to play this well."

Novak Djokovic, who has won 72 matches and lost 7 only since he married to his wife Jelena, has now urged other players to tie the knot.
On the occasion of his wedding anniversary, the 28-year-old tennis ace asserted that becoming parents in October was another great dimension of love and energy for the duo and even got them closer.
The Serbian tennis pro continued that whether he was winning or losing, his wife and family was always there.
