World No 1 Caroline Wozniacki beat Serbia's Jelena Jankovic 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 to reach her first WTA semi-finals of the Rome Masters in Rome yesterday.

Wozniacki set up a semi-final against either Maria Sharapova or Victoria Azarenka. Meanwhile, French Open champion and home favorite Francesca Schiavone lost her quarter-finals clash with Samantha Stosur of Australia. Second seed Schiavone lost 6-2, 6-4.
