The finale of the National Match Racing Championship will be held today. The event that commenced on April 26, witnessed naval groups competing against each other.

A special yacht race will be held today for the media fraternity. The National Match Racing Championship was incepted in 1991 and quickly recognised itself as the benchmark for yacht racing in India, serving to provide an important incentive to the Indian boating and water sports industry.

Cdr Farrokh Taraporevala from the Indian Navy will lead the race which will see J-24 boats in action.
