Coming back to complete yesterday's unfinished business, Yuki was dominant on day two of his rain-hit match as he conceded only two games. He was 4-4 when the match began and he ran away with a 7-5 6-1 win in the opening round.
Yuki and Ramkumar could have clashed in the second round but for brilliance of Briton Brydan Klein, who defeated the latter 6-3 6-3 in the other first round match.
Yuki now remains the sole Indian in the singles event as Saketh Myneni has also already exited following a 2-6 1-6 defeat against seventh seed Briton Liam Broady.
In the doubles, Myneni and Ramkumar have already reached the quarterfinals with their respective partners.
Myneni and Bulgaria's Dimitar Kutrovsky knocked out the top seeded Australian pair of Alex Bolt and Andrew Whittington 7-5 5-7 10-7 in their opening round.
Ramkumar and his Australian partner John Millman routed American wild cards Sam Barnett and Jesse Witten 6-0 6-0.
