Delhi HC issues notice on Modi passport plea

The Delhi High Court yesterday issued a notice to the external affairs ministry on an appeal by sacked Indian Premier League chief Lalit Modi challenging its earlier order on his passport revocation

A division bench of Chief Justice D Murugesan and Justice VK Jain also issued notices to the regional passport office in Mumbai seeking a response by April 29. Modi had challenged the Jan 16 order that dismissed his plea challenging the revocation of his passport.u00a0
He is facing an Enforcement Directorate probe into claims of financial irregularities.
