After shuttler Ajay Jayaram (25) registered an upset win over World No 12 Wing Ki Wong of Hong Kong in the men's singles at the BWF World Championships in Guangzhou, China, his parents celebrated the win by offering prayers at a temple in Chembur.
Local lad Jayaram, ranked 24 in the world, avenged his loss to Wong at the China Open a couple of years ago, beating him 22-20, 17-21, 21-15 in 64 minutes.
