Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard, 27, recently spoke about her fondness for social media and said she loves engaging with fans. The former World No. 5 is one of the very active tennis players on social media and has 2.1m and 1.6m followers on Instagram and Twitter respectively.

“I can’t pretend that it’s not a part of my life. I am very aware that I am in the public eye. The first thing any company asks is how many followers I have on social media. It is definitely something on my mind every time [I post]. I think it is a great tool,” Bouchard was quoted as saying by Forbes website. The 2014 Wimbledon finalist felt social media helps provide fans a sneak peek into her life away from the tennis court.
