The sport suffered one of the most embarrassing days in its history as Lewis Hamilton, Felipe Massa, Jean-Eric Vergne and Sergio Perez all suffered high-speed blowouts to their left-rear tyres. <img alt="Jean Todt" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2013/jul/Jean-Todt.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 372px;" /> FIA president Jean Todt &ldquo;Unacceptable&rdquo; was the overwhelming criticism that emerged from the debacle which has left Pirelli&rsquo;s reputation in F1 in tatters.u00a0Unsurprisingly, with the next race in Germany just days away, there was a call from many within the sport for Pirelli to act urgently to ensure there is no repeat at the Nurburgring. Although Todt has invited Pirelli to a meeting of the FIA&rsquo;s Sporting Working Committee at the circuit on Wednesday, the belief is immediate action and not words is what isu00a0required now. Todt, however, feels a degree of calm is also needed. Speaking to French television station Canal+, Todt said: &ldquo;I had a meeting with officials from Pirelli who will obviously investigate all the incidents that occurred in recent days. &ldquo;They will come up with proposals for the important meeting with all the teams on Wednesday. This (problem) will be part of the priority agenda. &ldquo;From the moment there are safety issues we have to make the right decision, and not just respond emotionally.u00a0&ldquo;We must analyse things and let the experts come together to meet after that. It will allow us to make a final decision.&rdquo;
