GD Birla Masters: Daga enters semis

In the semis, Daga will take on Narendra Sawardekar, who got a walkover in his quarter-finals. The other semi-final will pit Justin Joseph  against Sandeep Mohan. Justin beat Dhirruj D 15-10, 15-6, while Sandeep beat Dileep R Matta 15-4, 15-6

Top seed Sailesh Daga marched into the semi-finals of the men’s 45+ singles, scoring a straightforward 15-9, 15-4 victory over Nikhil Chari at the 28th GD Birla Memorial Masters inter-club badminton tournament, at Bombay Gymkhana on Thursday.

The 80+ mixed doubles saw top seeds Ayaz Bilawala and  Naheed Divecha got the better of Purnima Deshmukh and JP Chowdhary 30-19 to storm into the 
quarter-finals.
