Sushant Niddodi of Mandpeshwar Gymkhana grabbed a grand double, winning the men’s 85+ combination doubles and 80+ mixed combination doubles on the final day of the 28th GD Birla Memorial Masters inter-club badminton tournament at Bombay Gymkhana on Monday.  

Niddodi partnered Rajesh D’Souza of Catholic Gymkhana to defeat PM Balakrishna and Siddharth Gupta of Chembur Gym 21-15, 22-20 in the 80+ men’s doubles final and then joined Sejal Sheth of NSCI to defeat Bombay Gym’s Ayaz Bilawala and Naveed Divecha 21-18, 21-14 for the 80+ mixed combination doubles title. Niddodi was also adjudged Player of the Tournament.
