Organising committee president Seiko Hashimoto was asked at a news conference if there were any conditions under which the Olympics would be canceled. The question comes as the general secretary of ruling LDP political party, Toshihiro Nikai, raised the possibility the day before.
“There are a variety of concerns but as the Tokyo 2020 organising committee we are not thinking about canceling the games,” Hashimoto said.
