Funny appeal A few Indian cricketers were returning to the Hilton Hotel after winning the 1985 World Championship of Cricket in Melbourne. Since the hotel is nearby, they decided to walk through the Fitzroy Gardens where they were confronted by a couple of sex workers. They asked the players if they wanted to spice up their night. When one of them mischievously asked what would it cost, he was shocked by the price. "Any discount? You see, we are achievers. We just beat Pakistan at cricket," he said. Neither party gave in. Botham's teammate Les Taylor had broken it in his quest to get some sleep. Football first When Brazil won the 2002 World Cup, star player Ronaldo was asked: "What is more rewarding winning the World Cup or having sex after going without it for 40 days?" Ronaldo thought about it amidst much amusement among the press corps and replied: "Winning the World Cup is more rewarding. I will have sex in a few moments, but the World Cup only happens every four years."
