Hulk Hogan, the towering icon of professional wrestling and one of its most recognizable global figures, passed away on Thursday at the age of 71. The former WWE superstar, born Terry Gene Bollea, succumbed to cardiac arrest at his residence in Clearwater, Florida.

Emergency responders were rushed to the scene, and Hogan was reportedly stretchered into an ambulance, according to TMZ. Despite prompt medical attention, the wrestling legend could not be revived.
