The Indian women’s duo of Asha Sharma and Puja Batra won gold in the pairs event of the 4th Asia Cup bridge championship in Jakarta, Indonesia last week. Meanwhile, the pair of Vasanti Shah and Bharati Dey settled for bronze. This was the fourth edition of the quadrennial event,  first held in 2010 in China. The participating nations were India, Indonesia, Australia, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Singapore and Thailand.
