New Delhi: India has lost its bid to host the 132nd Session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 2019 even as the Italian city of Milan emerged as the front-runner to organise the prestigious event.

The IOA's bid to host the IOC Session had got the support of the Sports Ministry but it is now learnt that the National Capital Region's offer found few takers within the world sports apex body.
