A mother's love towards her child is often displayed through the preparation of his or her favourite food. And that is what India’s Thomas Cup-winning badminton squad member Chirag Shetty’s mother Sujata did while Chirag was on a short break in Mumbai before travelling to Bangkok, where the major badminton tournament was held.

“Chirag is mostly travelling and does not get much time with us. This time, he stayed a bit longer [in April for around 10 days] as [doubles partner] Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and he were training near our home, at the Goregaon Sports Club. He spent some quality time with us and it was so good to have him home. I made some of his favourite dishes like Kori Rotti [Tulu Udupi-Mangalorean dish prepared from red-chilies and coconut milk-based chicken curry to be had with crisp wafers, made from boiled rice] and a mutton gravy dish,” she remarked.

Doubtless, Sujata can’t wait for Chirag to return home.
