NXT champion Bobby Roode Pic Courtesy YouTubeBobby Roode is a WWE superstar wrestler and is the current champion at NXT We had time to catch up with him for a quick interview Lets hear his views on NXT WWEs main rosters Raw and SmackDown Live and WWEs latest inductee and Roodes former wrestling colleague Kurt AngleWith NXT superstars like Samoa Joe Kevin Owens Sami Zayn and AJ Styles joining WWE Raw and SmackDown could it be possible to see you on the roster soonYou see the success of those guys NXT is a stepping stone to get to Raw and SmackDown Hopefully one day I will get to be on the roster but right now I am happy being NXT champion and the face of the company I am very happy for AJ Joe who I had the pleasure of being in the ring in the past and who I call my friendsWhat are your thoughts on WWEs latest Hall of Fame inductee Kurt AngleHes well deserving to be in the Hall of Fame He is a friend whom I know for over a decade Kurt is one of the best of all time and is taking his rightful spot in the Hall of Fame I have a lot of good memories with Kurt he is incredible and entertaining I am very happy for himBeing a TNA legend which is your most fond memoryBeating Shinsuke Nakamura and Winning the championship is my most fond memory Nothing can top that It was my goal and I have been able to do that Its been a fun year but its time to get down to business as all the hardwork startsYou will be defending your NXT championship at NXT Takeover what are your thoughts on itWhen I came to NXT I had a goal in mind to be the NXT champion and I was able to do that in less than a year Walking into WrestleMania weekend as champ is very exciting and I am looking forwards to itWhat do you feel is the most attractive thing about NXTEveryone is familiar with Raw and SmackDown Live and now you have NXT which presents off in such a different way The shows itself are incredible A lot of them are in small venues and the fans are different more hardcore Its got an ECW kind of feel Its a lot of fun to be a part of Independent wrestlers all over the world can work at NXT and its a very huge stepping stone to getting to the main roster where everybody loves to be Now that I am part of NXT for over a year I can say that it is a brand a touring brand and not just a developmental oneDo you think NXT will remain a place for wrestlers to get to the main roster or that it can be as big as other WWEs main rostersWWEs brand with NXT has grown leaps and bounds so I can see that happen in the very close future that NXT would become just like Raw and SmackDown Live The names that you will seen in the near future are going to be huge stars There are faces that you do not recogznise now but you will as there will be opportunities for those guys NXT is going to grow and grow quickWhat was your need to switch to NXTWell doing my thing for 12 years with the company I just felt NXT is the next step for me I wanted to get my passion back and have a different experience When I visited Dallas for WrestleMania weekend for NXT Takeover I knew then that this was the place for me to be Fortunately i got my opportunity and I am proud to be the face of the brand and cant wait for more to come
