Lakshya Sen overcame a resolute Ayush Shetty to secure a place in the men’s singles semi-finals, but it was curtains for top seeded Indian men’s pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty at the Australian Open on Friday.

Lakshya beat his compatriot 23-21, 21-11 to set up a last-four clash against Chinese-Taipei’s Chou Tien Chen, while Satwik and Chirag went down 21-19, 21-15 to Indonesia’s fifth-seeded pair of Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri.
