Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton on Thursday said he was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support he has received following the death of his pet dog Roscoe.

The Ferrari driver announced Roscoe’s death in a social media post on Monday, calling him a “beautiful soul, an angel and true friend.” The decision to put the 12-year-old bulldog, who was suffering from pneumonia, to sleep was “the hardest decision of my life,” he said in the post.
