However, world championship silver-medallist, Sonia, had to be content with a runners-up finish for the second time at this event after she went down in a split verdict to China's Yin Jonhua in the final. India thus signed off with a gold, a silver and five bronze medals at the continental showpiece. Mary Kom, 35, a five-time world champion and Olympic bronze-medallist, scripted history yesterday by becoming the first boxer to claim five gold medals at the continental meet in the Vietnamese city of Ho Chi Minh.
